From his work with<em> The Epics<\/em> and the all-star powerhouse <em>The Trespassers<\/em> (featuring members of <em>DOA<\/em>, <em>SNFU<\/em> and <em>The Scramblers<\/em>), to touring with the <em>Herald Nix Band<\/em> and sharing stages with the likes of <em>The Clash<\/em> and <em>Howlin\u2019 Wolf<\/em>, his career has been built on genuine musical connection rather than hype. His contributions to artists like <em>Colin James<\/em>, <em>The Yodells,<\/em> <em>Copyright<\/em>, <em>GI Blues <\/em>and <em>Peewee Clayton<\/em> further cement his place as one of the city\u2019s true musical lifers.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"animations-hidden animated zoomIn\"><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"><strong>Mike Van Eyes Big Band<\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> features 24 of the city&#8217;s finest musicians (take a look <a href=\"https:\/\/mikevaneyes.com\/index.php\/home\/\">here<\/a>). Together, they produced a stellar album titled <em>&#8220;Ain&#8217;t That Loving You, Baby&#8221;<\/em> coming next year on Valentine&#8217;s Day &#8211; February 14, 2026 . The album was recorded in the Aftelife Studios (formerly the legendary Mushroom Studio) with Juno award winning engineer\/producer Erik P.H. Nielsen. The first single<em> &#8220;Yield Not To Temptation&#8221;<\/em> is set to release on December 3, 2025 on beautiful 180g audiophile vinyl, compact disc and digital.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"animations-hidden animated zoomIn\"><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Mike&#8217;s other magical mobile unit, <\/span><strong>The Mike Van Eyes Band<\/strong><\/span> can play any stage \u2013 truly loved by young and old, everyone from hipsters to seniors love great rock \u2018n\u2019 roll played with the fervor, passion and skill that Mike and his all-star troupe bring. They\u2019ve headlined numerous festivals in recent years as well as packing most of Vancouver\u2019s acclaimed music haunts such as the Commodore, Railway Club, Revel Room and The Yale. Mike\u2019s band includes some of Vancouver\u2019s finest rockers \u2013 Ron Scott (<em>Shanghai Dog<\/em>), Mark Ibarra (<em>Doucette<\/em>), Bob Beaudine (<em>Frank Frank 5<\/em>) and revolving door of very special guests.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The<\/span> <strong>Mike Van Eyes Big Band <\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">can be seen and heard live on rarer occasions. Mike first formed the Big Band to open for the legendary Johnny Winters at the Commodore for two nights and wowed both the crowd and Johnny! Subsequently he was asked to perform at Vancouver DuMaurier Jazz Festival the following year at Plaza of Nations.
